SUE Survey (Subsurface Utility Engineering)

Subsurface Utilities are utility networks laid under the ground surface. These utilities include pipeline networks for water supply, sewage disposal, petrochemical liquid transmission or cable networks for power transmission, telecom data transmission, and any other data or signal transmission. The field of engineering dealing with locating and mapping subsurface utilities is termed Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE). 

This process is used to identify underground utilities along defined routes to facilitate the safe and correct installation of the duct by mechanized slot trenching and several other purposes.
